Balanced nutrition in Oilseed rape
Oilseed rape has in general a high demand for macro- nutrients.
The basic nutrient fertilization with phosphate in autumn stimulates the root development and enhanced the winter hardiness of the crops. Phosphorrus is also improving the resistance to diseases and stimulating yield and quality in the growth period.
A basic fertilization with potassium in autumn will ensure winter hardiness and strengthen the plants. Potassium is adjusting the salt and water content in the cells which is important for the winter hardiness.
During the spring under certain weather conditions – cold and wet - the availability of potassium and phosphorus in the soil can be limited for the plants. In such situation, Lebosol®-PK-Max will help to overcome such stress situation.
The macro- nutrient magnesium is necessary for the formation of chlorophyll and yield and quality.
Sulphur is as important as nitrogen for the nutrition and uptake in spring. Without a sufficient sulphur supply the N-utilization and yield will be limited. In addition, the element plays an important role in the protein and enzyme metabolism.
To avoid sulphur deficiency we recommend from the beginning of vegetation the application of Lebosol®-MagSOFT SC or Lebosol®-Schwefel 800 SC.
Boron fertilization as a standard
Oilseed rape shows a huge demand to boron nutrion. The amount of uptake of boron during the vegetation is between 300 and 500 g / ha. A boron deficiency can occur under dry weather conditions, high pH values and after liming. But also on sandy soils the boron availability can be limited.
To avoid a boron deficiency, we recommend the foliar application in autumn and spring. Two products can be used - Lebosol®Bor and Lebosol®-AqueBor SC.
Manganese and molybdenum
Manganese and molybdenum are getting more and more important for high yields and quality. Both micro-nutrients can be applied with crop specific foliar fertilizer (Lebosol®RapsMix SC) or with further boron formulation, including molybdenum already.
Efficacy of pre-emerge soil herbicides
The efficacy and selectivity of pre-emerge soil herbicides can be improved by the combination with the adjuvant Herbosol®
Herbosol with 0,4 l/ha will improve the stability and reliability of the herbicide without washing out (heavy rain) and shifting of active incrediants into the soil (“bleaching symptoms”). This can lead to a growth stop and /or chloroses at young plants.
The improved binding of the herbicide in the soil by the combination with Herbosol® will reduces these negative consequences and ensure a better growth in autumn.
DAWA type experiments with Clomazone
The application of herbicides can cause physiological plant stress. Aminosol® (amino acids) can help to reduce physiological plant stress. Aminosol® is an organic foliar fertilizer which is consisting of 55% amino acids. Normally, plants compose with nitrogen, carbon dioxides and water amino acids during the photosynthesis.
With the foliar application of Aminosol® 1 – 2 times crops will be directly fertilized with amino acids.
