Basal dressing in oil seed rape

Oil seed rape is a crop with a comparatively high claim to the macro nutrient care.

The basic nutrient fertilization with phosphate in autumn promotes the root development and raises the winter hardness of the oil seed rape plants. The resistance to diseases is raised and the start conditions in spring are improved.

Potassium strengthens the cellular tissue and adjusts the salt content in the cells, so that an improved stability as well as winter firmness is reached.

In  spring the availability of potassium and phosphorus in the soil is strongly limited on the basis of cold and wet, we recommend for a better start the application of Lebosol®-PK-Max.

 

A sufficient care with magnesium is required for the protection of a yield-effective formation of chlorophyll.

Sulphur is a secondary nutrient of vital importance for oil seed rape, which is taken, first of all, in the spring at the same time with nitrogen by the oil seed rape plant. Besides, sulphur plays an important role particularly in the protein and enzyme metabolism as well as with the construction of secondary content materials. On account of the high sulphur need oil seed rape reacts sensitively to sulphur lack. Therefore, a sulphur fertilization on sulphur lack locations causes a significant yield increase and a clear decrease of the disease infestation.

We recommend in addition of the basic fertilization of magnesium and sulphur in spring from the beginning of vegetation till the beginning to blossom the application of Lebosol®-MagSOFT SC for the security of the magnesium and sulphur need.

Boron fertilization as standard

Fundamentally the oil seed rape counts like the sugar beet to the boron-needy plants. The taken boron amount by the plant during the vegetation amounts  between 300 - to 500 g / ha depending on the leaf development. Boron is limited in the soil by aridity, high pH values and after liming in its plants availability. In addition, losses  on light  locations by erosions of boron from the root space have to be noted.

We recommend a boron foliar application in autumn and in the spring as a standard measure. In the company Lebosol® two boron products are available moreover - Lebosol®-Bor and Lebosol®-AqueBor SC.

Besides boron, first of all the trace nutrients molybdenum and manganese are important in the oil seed rape cultivation.

Improvement of the efficiency of the soil herbicides

The choice of soil herbicide-active substances as well as the correction possibilities in the post-emergence are limited with oil seed rape. Therefore, a protection of the effect is already recommendable. Besides, active substances can be shifted by heavy rain after the application of the herbicides and get below the seeds and lead to growth delays or chloroses in the young plants.

The better binding of the herbicide in the soil by the addition of Herbosol®  reduces these negative consequences. The oil seed rape needs less time for regeneration and can develop in autumn better.

Therefore, in addition to the oil seed rape soil herbicides we recommend for more security in effect and compatibility the application of Herbosol®.

DAWA type experiments with Clomazone

The application of soil herbicides can lead to stress reactions in the culture, particularly in case of heavy  rain   an active substance misalignment takes place in the root zone of the oil seed rape. To diminish the stress for the oil seed rape, a 1 – 2 x  application with Aminosol®  as a foliar fertilization is recommended.

Aminosol® is an organic nitrogenous fertilizer solution which consists of 55% of amino acids. The plants construct amino acids out of nitrogen, carbon dioxides and water (simplified representation), which are processed during the photosynthesis. With  Aminosol® - foliar fertilization amino acids are provided directly to the plants  and so a fast revitalization is possible.
