Foliar fertilization in sugar beets
The soil herbicides used in the sugar beet cultivation must keep the crops for a longer period free of weeds. Herbosol® secures the effect of your soil herbicides.
- better distribution of the spray liquid on the soil,
- better adhesion in the soil,
- higher concentration in the upper soil layer,
- less erosion.
Our application recommendation, so that the herbicide film will retain as long as possible on the soil:
0,4 l/ha Herbosol® to the soil-applied herbicides in the sugar beet region in the 3. post-emergence treatment in the seed leaf stage of weeds for the protection of the soil active substances in regard to the lasting effect
- on light soils, in case of low humus content raise on 0,6 l/ha,
- on heavy soils, in case of high humus content reduce to 0,2 l/ha.
Aminosol® - better compatibility and healthy growth
Herbicide sprayings but also bad growth conditions in form of coldness, moisture, dryness, soil conditions which are not adapted to their location cause stress and restrain the amino acid synthesis. The addition of Aminosol®(amino acids) to the spray mixture reduces these effects and brings so a clear growth advantage.
Our application recommendation, so that your sugar beets will better survive the stress: 2 - 3 l/ha Aminosol® for the post-emergence-herbicides, especially the 1. and 2. post-emergence treatment in the seed leaf stage of the weeds.
High need of boron and manganese
Dryness, coldness or too high pH-values in soil affect the nutrient availability for important trace nutrients for the sugar beet. First of all, the lack of boron and manganese has economic importance for sugar beets.
The sugar beet belongs to the agricultural crop with a high boron need. By its influence on the formation of the storage tissue and the sugar metabolism, boron has a very important role for the sugar beets. In case of a boron deficiency it comes to the development of damage symptoms in leaf and beet, which are called heart- or dry rot.
Manganese is also involved in the sugar formation and prevents the premature of the leaves and also prevents indirectly the leaf-sprouting.
Our application recommendation for a protection of a sufficient boron and manganese supply of your sugar beet: between 6 leaf stage and meeting across the rows 1 - 2 x 2 - 3 l/ha Lebosol®-AqueBor SC + 1 l/ha Lebosol®-Mangan GOLD SC.
You can obtain an improved yield and a higher vitality of you sugar beet cultivation with an optimized phosphorus-, potassium- and magnesium care. Just for improving the initial development as well as the energy and water balance, a well balanced phosphorus and potassium supply is required. We recommend you the application of 2 x 6 l/ha Lebosol®-PK-Max.
A magnesium- and also a sulphur deficiency is to be seen in the sugar beets especially in periods of drought, due to decreased mobility in the soil, but also after rains on the basis of erosion in deeper soil shifts.
Magnesium is necessary for the construction of chlorophyll. Sulphur is a component of essential amino acids. The sulphur metabolism is very important for the vegetable resistance, because it offers different possibilities to repulse fungoid germs. Sugar beets which are weakened by a sulphur deficiency, show a much stronger infestation with real mildew (Erysiphe betae) as the better supplied sugar beets.
