Lebosol®-Zitronensäure lowers and buffers the pH level of spray water.
The pH level is a measure of the acidic or alkaline nature of an aqueous solution.
It is the negative decadic logarithm of the hydrogen ion concentration. This means that the higher the concentration of free protons (H+ ions), the lower the pH level.
The pH level is indicated in a non-dimensional scale from pH 1 (acidic) to pH 14 (alkaline). Therefore, pH 7 describes a neutral solution. The optimum pH level of spray water for applications involving pesticides lies between 4.5 and 6.
Problems can occur in the process of alkaline hydrolysis if spray water has higher pH levels.
